Perkasie Sits Between Two of Our Offices
Perkasie families have two Orthodontic Specialists offices at about the same distance, one on each side of town. Our Souderton office at 718 PA-113, Suite M is about 6 miles south via Route 152. Our Quakertown office at 907 W Mill St is about 7 miles north via Route 309. Either one is roughly a 15-minute drive from the center of the borough, so you can choose by schedule instead of by distance.
Both offices are part of the same orthodontic practice, and patients are cared for by Dr. Justin Silvestre, DMD, and Dr. Gregory Gittleman, DMD. Orthodontics is the only thing we do.

Orthodontic Care for Pennridge Students
Perkasie is part of the Pennridge School District, and students often have to fit treatment around classes, practices and rehearsals. Two things help keep school days intact:
- DentalMonitoring. Patients take guided photos of their teeth on a phone, and our orthodontists review them remotely. That can reduce routine in-office checks. Read more on our technology page.
- Choosing the right appliance. Braces work around the clock without anything to remember. Spark clear aligners come out for meals and brushing but must be worn 20 to 22 hours a day. For a student who plays a wind instrument or a contact sport, we talk through how each option fits before you decide.

Is Age Seven Too Early?
No. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic evaluation by age seven. Many children don’t need treatment then, but the visit shows how the jaws are growing and whether the adult teeth will have room. If something is better addressed early, such as a narrow upper jaw or a crossbite, we may recommend Phase 1 early interceptive treatment, usually between ages six and ten.
Living With Braces Day to Day
New braces patients often ask what changes at home. The main adjustments are:
- Brushing around each bracket and using floss threaders or interdental brushes to clean along the wire
- Skipping hard and sticky foods, such as hard candy, ice and caramel, that can loosen brackets
- Calling the office if a bracket or wire comes loose, rather than waiting for the next visit

Adults in Perkasie Are Welcome Too
Teeth can be moved at any age as long as the gums and supporting bone are healthy, which we check first. Many adults choose Spark clear aligners, and some prefer braces. Either way, the consultation covers the realistic timeline for your case.

If your dental plan includes orthodontic coverage, our team files the claims for you. We accept all major credit cards, cash and checks, and offer monthly payment plans. We’ll go over your cost at the consultation once we’ve examined your teeth. Our team also speaks Spanish.

No. You can book an evaluation yourself, though we’re glad to receive any records your dentist has.
